Edward Joseph Neidert, 74, died Monday, March 13, 1989, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tenn., after a brief illness.
He was a retired partner of Loretto Casket Co., a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Loretto, and a veteran of World War II. He was a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus and the son of the late John and Kate Augustin Neidert.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Loretto, with the Rev. Kevin Dowling and Deacon Sammy Beckman officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Loretto Memorial Chapel, Loretto, directing.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home. Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 8 p.m. today and the Parish rosary will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, both at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Mary O'Connor Neidert, Loretto; daughters, Donna Simbeck, Anthionette Beuerlein, Joan Williams, all of Loretto, Kathy Neidert, Florence, Ala., Sharon Neidert, Knoxville, Tenn.; brothers, Wilford Neidert, Clarence Neidert, both of Loretto, Charles Neidert, Wichita, Kan.; sisters, Annie Reeves, Mary Eleanor Weathers, both of Loretto, Agnes Smith, Rochester, N.Y., Bea Stumpe, Helen Peters, both of St. Florian, Ala.; 10 grandchildren one great-granddaughter.
