Helen Neidert Peters, age 87, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at E.C.M. Hospital. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Visitation will be Friday, January 21, 2011 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the St. Michael's Catholic Church with rosary prayed at 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Edward Markley, O.S.B. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ernest Harold Peters; son, Marion Francis Peters; grandsons, Jeffery Czermak, Justin Czermak; parents, John and Catherine Augustine Neidert; sisters, Agnes Neidert Smith, Bea Neidert Stumpe; brothers, Edward Neidert, Aloysius (Bud) Neidert, Charles Neidert, Wilfred Neider, and Clarence Neidert.
She is survived by her children, David Peters and wife, Regina, Janet Peters Ragland and husband, Regan, Angie Peters Czermak and husband, John, Jim Peters and wife, Sherry, Gary Peters and wife Sherry, Ralph Peters and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Ashley Peters, John Peters, Patrick Ragland and fiancé, Alex Hudson, Katie Roberts and husband, Brandon, Kristen Ragland, Jessica Czermak and husband, Ben Petersen, Abby Thompson, Isaac Peters, Shane Peters, Danielle Peters, Alizia Kelly and husband, Chris, Leslie Mitchell and husband, Joey; great grandchildren, Eli Czermak, Sophia Petersen; sisters, Annie Reeves, and Mary Eleanor Weathers.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Mann, John Passarella, and all her nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Church Building Fund, American Heart Association, or American Cancer Society.
The family extends special appreciation to Dr. Robert Mann and his staff for years of special care and also to the staff and residents of Merrill Gardens , with special acknowledgement to caregiver and friend, Sheila Crosslin. You have all enhanced her final years and our last years with her. We appreciate and love you for it.
