William "Bill" O'Connor, 81, Loretto, Tenn., died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at Crockett Hospital after an extended illness.

Visitation will be 4:30-9 p.m. Tuesday. Feb. 20, 2001, at Loretto Memorial Chapel The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Loretto Sacred Heart Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Joseph and Deacon Sammy Beckman.

There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the funeral home chapel.

He was born in Lawrence County Tenn., and was retired from the Lawrence County Highway Department. He was a member of Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was born to the late John and Rose Wiggerman O'Connor.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes Evers O'Connor, Loretto, Tenn.; two sisters, Jeannie Kollefrath, Loretto, Tenn., Mildred Kerstiens, Loretto, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Wiggerman O'Connor; brother, Patrick O'Connor; and two sisters, Mary Niedert and Helen O'Connor.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
