George Kessler

George Kessler, 87, Montgomery, formerly of Loretto, Tenn., died Monday at Montgomery veterans Hospital, after an extended illness.

He was a retired railroad employee and a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Loretto, with the Rev. Carl Fassnacht and Sammy Beckman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Loretto Memorial Chapel directing.

Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his daughter, Lois K. West, Montgomery; sons, James R. Kessler, Clayton, Richard A. Kessler, Birmingham; brother, Gus Kessler, Chicago, Ill.; nine grandchildren: three great-grandchildren.
