Ernest George Kollefrath Sr., 75, 110 Fairview Road, died Wednesday, Jan 10. 1990, at the Lawrenceburg Health Care Center after an extended illness. He was a native of Loretto, and was retired from Staffer Chemical Co., Mount Pleasant. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Loretto, a member of Lelan Beasley Post 146, a member of the American Legion, Loretto, was a member of the Loretto Knights of Columbus and a member of the Loretto Senior Citizens.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Loretto, with the Rev. Kevin Dowling and Deacon Sammy Beckman officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, with full military honors, Loretto Memorial Chapel directing.

The prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife. Jeannie O'Connor Kollefrath, Loretto; son, Ernest Kollefrath Jr., Florence Ala.; brother. J.W. Kollefrath, Loretto; sisters, Marie Best, Kansas City, Kan., Margaret Green, Geneva Hicks, both of Loretto, Thelma McPeters, Killen, Ala.; three granddaughters.
