MRS. AGNES THOMPSON.

 

Mrs. Agnes Thompson, 82, resident of Waterloo many years, died Monday at 9:30 p. m. of complications incident to advanced age at the home of a daughter, Mrs. William Lynch, at Independence.

A native of Independence, Mrs. Thompson was born Agnes Burchinsky Oct. 21, 1874, daughter of Joseph and Mary Burchinsky. She was married in 1891 to Edgar Thompson. He died in 1910. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church.

Surviving are a son, Joseph Henry Thompson, 321 Gable St., two daughters, Mrs. Grace Martin, 321 E. 2nd St., and Mrs. William Lynch with whom she was living at the time of her death, and one brother, Joseph Burke, San Diego, Calif.

There are also seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded, in addition to her husband and parents, by four sisters, two brothers and one son.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.

Research notes for Agnes

4th child - both obits, 1900, and 1910 census records suggest another son - born BEF 1900 and died BEF 1900. Searched Find a Grave, familysearch, and a cursory search on newspapers... nothing.

Possibly Elizabeth Agnes or Agnes Elizabeth - I have no idea where I got that...

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Thompson, 82, who died Monday of complications incident to advanced age, will be Friday. The Rev. Harold Drexler, assistant pastor, will officiate at the 9 a. m. services at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery. The OLVA Alumni will recite the rosary at 7:30 p. m. Thursday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.
