ZURAFF

 

Thomas Zuraff of Bennington township died this morning at 10:10 o'clock. He was born in Germany eighty-eight years ago, and came to America fortyeight years ago, settling in Whiteside county, Wis , where he remained about eighteen years. He then moved to Iowa, settling on a farm in Buchanan county, remaining there ten years. For the past twenty years he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. A. J. Biller of Bennington township. He was an upright man and was thoroughly respected by all his acquaintances.

The funeral will be held from St. Joseph's church Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. Father Cooney officiating. The remains will be laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery beside his son in-law, Mr. Biller, whose death occurred about one year ago.

Why the Thomas Zuraff/Mary Marion Family is here...

Thomas and Mary are NOT related to me. Nor are any of their children. Two of those children - Agnes and Constantine - married kin. This puts these two children into my in-law category. Normally, I would not add the rest of the family, however, Agnes and Con married the brother-sister combo of Joseph and Jennie Burke. In order to successfully show full double-cousin status, the parents of Agnes and Con have to be in my database. While this breaks my "rule" of not extending in-laws, I have made an exception here.
