At 3:00 o'clock this afternoon J.J. Salz who has been ill with typhoid fever for sometime died. He is a tailor. He is about 40 years of age. He leaves a wife and family.

FUNERAL OF J.J. SALZ
The funeral of Joe J. Salz, the announcement of whose death came as a severe shock to his many friends last Saturday, will occur tomorrow at 9 o'clock at the home, and at 10 o'clock services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic church.
Mr. Salz was a man universally respected by all who knew him in any relation whatsoever, his long residence here in the tailoring business bringing him into contact with large numbers of people who have naught but words of praise to speak of his character.
He leaves, besides the wife and seven children, one brother, Henry Salz, and six sisters, Mrs. Andrew Striegel, Mrs. Paul Gindt, and Mrs. John Foley, of Waterloo; Mrs. Ed. McLarland, of Storm Lake; Mrs. Chester Rhodes, of Red Oak and Mrs. Peter Rechfertig, of Hawkeye.
