Funeral services will be at 9:30 a. m. Saturday in St. John's Catholic Church for August J. Koester, 69, of near Waterloo, who died about 5:15 p. m. Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital of heart disease.
The Rev. Patrick McElliott, pastor, will officiate.
Mr. Koester was born March 10, 1890, in Dunkerton, the son of Henry and Jenny Burk Koester. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Surviving are a brother, Michael, of Readlyn, and a sister, Mrs. Paul Nuebel, Rt. 1, Dunkerton. He was, preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
