Mrs. Louis Richter, nee Ann Hatting, passed away Saturday evening, Nov. 15, at the Sheldon Community hospital, after a three month illness. She had reached the age of 67 years, 3 months and 3 days. Funeral services were held from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at Ashton, Wednesday morning, Nov. 19, and internment took place in St. Mary's cemetery, with Father Lawrence Klein officiating. Lampe funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Louis, the children, Alvin of Emery, So Dak., Clarence Bernard and Norbert of Ashton, Elmer of Sheldon, Mrs. Victor Monarch, Little Falls, Minn.; Mrs. Dan Luton, Columbus, Nebr. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Her parents and 2 brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Richter was born at Breda, Iowa, and moved with her parents to Ashton when a year old, where she spent the remainder of her life. She was united in holy matrimony to Louis Richter, Feb. 1, 1916, by the late Father Hoffman.
She had been an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Pallbearers were Norbert Honkomp, Ted Klein, Carl Krogman, Carl Wimmer, Henry Klein and Frank Kolbeck. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Catholic Daughters of America, Mrs. Frank Thiele, Mrs. Carl Krogman, Mrs. Henry Klein, Mrs. Frank Kolbeck, Mrs. Ted Klein and Mrs. T. B. Streit.
