The marriage of Miss Dolorosa Elvira Fox, daughter of Jacob Fox, Dubuque, to Ralph William Schmitt, son of William Schmitt, took place Wednesday morning at St. Francis church, Barclay, Ia., Rev. P. J. Noebers officiating. Miss Christine Stoebell played Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" as the couple, attended by Miss Carmelita Fox, the bride's sister, and Arthur Schmitt, brother of the groom, approached the altar.
The bride's gown was of white satin, worn with a full length veil that was caught in place with pearl beads. She carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies. Her sister was dressed in blue crepe de chine and wore a picture hat. Her flowers were pink roses.
The wedding breakfast was served at the Frank Fox residence, Waterloo to about 40 relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Schmitt will reside temporarily at 117 Cortlandt street. The bride was educated at St. Raphael's school and Mt. St. Joseph's college, Dubuque.
