Gordon L. Willson, 86, Indian Hills Care Center, 1800 Indian Hills Drive, was dead on arrival Thursday at a Sioux City hospital after being stricken at the center.
Mr. Willson was born May 13, 1891, at Mapleton, Iowa. He moved to Sioux City and worked for Fairmont Creamery for several years.
He married Helena O. Helstern June 1, 1909, at Rock Valley, Iowa. She died Jan. 13, 1972, in Sioux City.
He lived in Nebraska and South Dakota before returning to Sioux City in 1935. He worked at Wilson Trailer Co. for 10 years before retiring in 1957.
He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Eagles Aerie 77.
Survivors include five sons, Leo of Phoenix, Ariz., Gene, Dale, Don and Jack, all of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Helen) Regynski of Woonsocket, S.D., and Mrs. Lyle (Rosemary) of Grenier, S.C.; a brother, Elmer of Ohji, Calif., 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Sylvester Micek will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today in Meyer Bros. Colonial Chapel.
