MICHAEL TREBON DIES
Independence, Ia., March 30
Michael Trebon, one of the pioneer settlers of Buchanan county, having been a resident of the county for a half eentury, died here yesterday, being past ninety years of age. His wife and a number of children survive him. The funeral will be held at Fairbank, near where he spent most of his early years here. Among those who will attend the funeral will be Mrs. W. C. Brennan and two children from Waterloo, Mr. Trebon having been her grandfather.

The funeral of Michael Trebon was held at the Catholic church here Monday at 10:00 a. m. Solemn requiem high mass was read. His death occurred at his home in Independence Thursday, March 28. Mr. Trebon was one of the early settlers of this place and his funeral was largely attended. He is survived by his wife and four sons Rufus, Martin, Mike and Henry all residing here, and five daughters, Mrs. F. W. Zewiske, of Illinois, Mrs. M. Bird, of Jesup, Mesdames Jos. Zewiske and I. Chase of this place, Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
