Mrs. Wm. Trebon Sr., was born June 8, 1829, and passed away Feb. 28, 1912. Mrs. Trebon's maiden name was Wilhelnnna Baneck. She was united in marriage to Stephen Zummak in 1848 and to this union were born two children, the daughter dying in infancy and the son, Julius Zummack, living north of here.
She was united in marriage to Wm. Trebon in 1857 and to this union eight children were born, three daughters and five sons, of whom only three are living; Herman, Reinhart and William. Besides the four sons, her husband, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of friends are left to mourn her death.
Mrs. Trebon had been in failing health for about a month following a stroke of paralysis. She was a good wife and kind mother. She had been a faithful member of the German Lutheran church, from which place the services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Lobeck, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. She was laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery.
