MRS. MARCELLA TRIBON
Funeral services for Mrs. Marcella Tribon, centenarian, born Christmas day, 1824. and whose death occurred Jan. 31, 1924, will be Tuesday at 9 a. m. from St. Joseph Catholic church. Solemn requiem mass will be said by Rev. Edward Slattery, after which the body will be taken to Fairmont for burial.
Mrs. Tribon was a native of France. She was married there to Michael Tribon in 1840 at the age of 16. With a family of five children they emigrated to America in 1853, first settling in Wisconsin. At an early day they removed to Buchanan county, where Mr. Tribon died 18 years ago at the age of 88. Since then she made her home with a daughter. Mrs. J. J. Chase, 414 Ninth street east, in this city.
Eighty-five living direct descendants survive Mrs. Tribon. Fourteen children were born to her, nine of whom survive. There are 44 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
