CEDAR FALLS
Services will be Friday; for Arthur A. Mixdorf, 68, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, who died at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo of emphysema.
Friends may call at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Friday, and from noon until service time, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home with the Rev. Reiv Seastrand, chaplain of the home, and the Rev. S. M. Schreitmueller, pastor of First Lutheran Church of Waterloo, officiating. Burial will be in Midwest Garden of Memories in Waterloo.
Mr. Mixdorf was born March 30, 1904, in Bennington Township, the son of Frank and Bertha Buss Mixdorf. On May 28, 1927, he married Vallie Tribon at Nashua. For a number of years he farmed and was manager of the Elmwood Cemetcry in Waterloo.
Mr, Mixdorf was a member of First Lutheran Church of Waterloo and the Eagles Lodge of Waterloo.
Surviving are three sons, Chancel and David, both of Dunkerton, and Daniel of 1236 Grandview Ave., Waterloo; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Otto of Denver, Ernest of Windsor Estates in Cedar Falls, Carl of Rt. 3 Waterloo, William of Boone, and Bert of Shell Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Tegtmeier of 313 Anthony St., Waterloo, Mrs. John Marsh of 210 Center St., Waterloo, Mrs. Carl Baker of 3714 Lafayette St., Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, four brothers, and two sisters.
