Pioneer Dies at Age of 71
Mr. and Mrs. O'Connell to Be Buried Tuesday
Mrs. Thomas F. O'Connell, 71, of 1009 South Twenty-seventh street, a pioneer Omaha resident, Saturday night joined her husband in death.
Mr. O'Connell, 59-year-old retired railroad man, died Friday and his funeral was to have been held Monday. The rites have been postponed and a double funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a. m. at the residence and then at St. Peter's church. Burial for both will be in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. O'Connell were taken to a local hospital suffering with pneumonia. Saturday Mrs. O'Connell's condition was reported as "good" but she suffered a relapse Saturday night.
Mrs. O'Connell is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Nicholas Dargzwiski and Miss Agnes Trebon of Omaha, Miss Susie Trebon of Los Angeles and Mrs. John Netzel of Chicago. She was a member of the St. Peter's church Altar society.
