William Frederick Trebon was born at The Forks, Buchanan county, Iowa, December 24, 1876, and died Friday, May 13, 1938, at Oakdale sanitarium at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 19 days, after an illness of long standing. He was the son of Frederick Trebon and his wife Wilhelmina, nee Bonick. With his parents he moved to a farm northeast of Littleton, of which he was a life time resident. On June 24, 1903 he was united in marriage to Emma Budzine, of Littleton, who passed away in October, 1913. To this union four children were born. He was married to Mrs. Emma Saunders, of Independence, on June 7, 1922. He leaves to mourn his death the widow, two daughters, Una, Milwaukee, Wis.; Eileen, at home, one son, Herbert, Waterloo, two grandchilden and two brothers, Hermann and Reinhardy, of Independence. He is also survived by two stepsons, Harold and Theodore Saunders, of Flint, Mich. A daughter, Alma, and a half-brother, Julius Zummak, preceded him in death.
He was a kind and loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his many friends. He was a faithful member of the Lutheran church, being affiliated with the church at The Forks, near Littletono, until its dissolution, when he affiliated with the Immnauel Lutheran church at Independence.
Funeral services Monday, at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran church. Burial at Littleton cemetery. Rev. G. Bunge officiated.
