Funeral services for Rhinehart Trebon, 71, who died Sunday, will be Wednesday at 2 p. m. from the Swan funeral home; burial in Wilson cemetery, two miles east of Independence; had been ill at his home at the north edge of Independence the last three and-a-half months; son of Mr. and Mrs. William Trebon, he was born on the Trebon farm north of Littleton, Ia., Nov. 17, 1871; engaged in farming until 1919, when he moved to Independence, which had since been his home; since moving to Independence he had been employed by various business firms until about five years ago when he retired from active work; leaves widow and one daughter, Mrs. Nettie Summerfelt, Hazleton; one brother, William, Independence; 11 grandchildren; it was Mr. Trebon's daughter, Mrs. Ed Williamson, 47, who met death a week ago Sunday, when she was struck by an Illinois Central train east of Independence; she was on her way to spend the day with her father when the tragedy occurred; also preceded in death by three other daughters and one son.
