Annetta Beierschmitt passed away in the family home Sunday night at 8 o'clock after an illness of about two months, during which time she was a patient sufferer. A few weeks ago she was taken to St. Francis hospital Waterloo and had her lower limb amputated on account of a cancer and seemed to be recovering nicely until about two weeks ago, when she began to slowly become weaker until the end. Annetta Beierschmitt, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Beierschmitt, was born on the farm where she has always lived. She would have been twenty-one years old April 11th. She attended the Immaculate Conception school at this place also the I.S.T.C. at Cedar Falls. She was a fine musician.
She leaves besiders her parents and many relatives and friends, three sisters, Lorina, Bernica, and Erma and three brothers Walter, Ralph and Joseph all at home. The funeral services were held in the Immaculate Conception church on Wednesday morning conducted by Rev. Father Halpin and assisted by her former pastor, Rev. Father Donohue, of Independence and attended by a large number of neighbors and friends. The pall bearers were all cousins of the deceased. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment in the Fairbank Catholic cemetery.
