Damaris Marsch, 72, of 734 Lynkalee Drive, died at home Thursday Jan. 8, of cancer.
She was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Fairbank, daughter of Arthur and Gertrude Trebon. She married Robert L. Marsch on Nov. 15,1952, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 29, 1998.
Mrs. Marsch graduated from Immaculate Conception School, Fairbank, in 1948, and attended Gates Business College. She and her husband owned and operated Takin Brothers Transfer and Storage Co. for 40 years, and it still remains in the family. She was an Elklette and was a member of Serra Club, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, PEO Chapter KS, and Resurrection Choir at St. Edward's Church.
Survivors include: a son, Thomas S. (Julie) of Hudson; three daughters, Mary Ann (David) Brincks of Carroll, Diane Marsch of Hot Sulphur Springs, Colo., and Laurie Marsch of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Dan, John and Kate Brincks, and Stephanie and Jennifer Marsch; and three brothers, Al Trebon of Tucson, Ariz., Robert Trebon of Fairbank and Arthur Trebon Jr. of Beverly Hills Fla.; a sister in law, Marie Wilson.
Preceded in death by: three brothers, Dale, Frank and Paul Trebon.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service. There will be no visitation at the church on Monday.
