Frances K. Allen, 76, died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. She was born Oct. 29, 1935 in La Porte City, the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Border) Buck. She married Robert Trebon on Nov. 27, 1954 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank. Robert preceded her in death in 2004. She later married Dean Allen on Jan. 7, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church, Fairbank.
Frances graduated from East High School in Waterloo in 1953. After graduating she married Bob and moved to the farm, where helping farm and raising their eight children became her first occupations. She later worked at Schares Food Mart in Jesup for 31 years. After retiring she spent her time with family and friends. She enjoyed many different hobbies, singing in the IC Church Choir, collecting angels, crocheting, puzzles, playing cards, gardening, travelling, wine tasting and even gun shows.
She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Kay (Pat) Ledesma of Fairbank, Colleen (Terry) Nagel of Jesup, Char (Rick) Colby of LaCresent, Minn., and Susy (Brad) Buzynski of Maynard; four sons, Rick (Julie) Trebon of Wadena, Chuck (Connie) Trebon of Washburn, Don (Julie) Trebon of Waterloo and Dave Trebon of Jesup; four stepdaughters, Mary Kay (Dennis) Frost and Karen (Al) Matthews all of Fairbank, Carol (Mike) Tilley of Bloomington, Ind., Pam (Gary) Miller of Rosemount, Minn.; three brothers, Larry (Kathy) Buck of Independence, Verle (Bonnie) Buck of Elk Run Heights, Bill (Sandy) Buck of Texas and one sister, Janet Rigdon of Florida, along with 28 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Robert Trebon, a grandson Jordan Trebon, a great-granddaughter Natalie Trebon, and three brothers, Arthur, Merlin and Orlin Buck.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday April 2, at Immaculate Conception Church, Fairbank with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, April 1, with a 4 p.m. parish rosary at Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank.
