Ed Ford and Miss Ida Steggall were married in Oelwein last Wednesday evening. The writer joins their many friends in wishing them happiness and prosperity.

Edward R. Ford
Edward R. Ford, 82, died Saturday, July 9, of a heart attack at Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union. He was a retired carpenter.
Services were held Tuesday, July 12, in St. Mary's Catholic church Waucoma, 9:30 a.m. Father C. E. Drummy officiated. Reed's Funeral Home, Waucoma, handled arrangements.
Mr. Ford was married twice with his second wife, the former Frances Knoll, Fairbank, surviving. Also surviving are nine children; for sons, Charles, Waterloo; Edgar, Dubuque, Erwin, Cedar Falls, and Elmer, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Carl Hosier, Plover; Mrs. Ocie Vassar, Cedar Falls; Mrs. James Koschatka, Waucoma; Mrs. James Green, Fayette; one brother, William Ford, Oelwein.
Also surviving are thirty one grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Leonard Olson, Alfred Ameling, Fred Nebis, John Barth, Hugh L. Lynch and Edward Brummond.
One daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Albert, Waterloo, his parents, two sisters, one brother preceded him in death.
