On Tuesday morning, March 2nd, at 9:00 a.m. in St. Mary's church, Miss Agnes Schemmer, daughter of Mrs. A.F. Schemmer of Rock Valley, was given in marriage by her brother, Mr. C.H. Schemmer, to Dr. Thomas W. McIntosh of Stockton, California. The couple were attended by Mrs. Chris Van Oosbree of Rock Valley, matron of honor, and Dr. R.L. Pedemont of Omaha, Neb., best man.
The bride was attired in a gown of white taffeta with a sweetheart neckline and fall train. Her fingertip veil was fashioned with a Juliet cap trimmed with pearls. She carried an arm bouquet of red roses. The matron of honor wore a peach colored taffeta gown similar to that of the bride and carried an arm bouquet of mixed carnations.
Following the ceremony, a dinner was served at the home of Mrs. L. Richter for the immediate families of the bridal couple and their guests.
Dr. and Mrs. McIntosh left after the dinner for Omaha, Neb., where they will reside for a few weeks before leaving for Pasadena, Calif., where Dr. McIntosh will be attached to Huntington Memorial hospital.
Mrs. McIntosh is a recent graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Omaha, Neb., and since her graduation has been practicing private duty nursing. Dr. McIntosh attended St. Mary's College in California before coming to Creighton University School of Medicine from which he will be graduated on March 15. He is a member of Phi Beta Pi, national medical fraternity, and is a past president of that organization.
