PROTIVIN
James Koshatka, 78, died Tuesday in Howard County Hospital, Cresco, of injuries suffered in an accident July 22 while changing a tire at his gas station in Protivin.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine; two sons, David and James; a daughter, Doreen; a brother, Raymond of Spillville; three stepdaughters, JoAnne Anderson of Lawler, Margaret Thompson of Calmar and Virginia Pavlovec of Monona; a stepson, Robert Kala of Jewell; three sisters, Lucille Barloon of Mason City, Barbara Kautman of Fredericksburg and Florence Mathews of Bush, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Calmar Lutheran Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at French's.
