Services for Leland E. "Manny" Welsh, 46, 1717 Kane St., Apt. 23, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gene Siegert & Son Westview Funeral Home 2659 Kennedy Road.

Entombment will be in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 6, of Dubuque. friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Welsh worked at Western Auto.

He was born on July 13, 1950, in Graham, Iowa, son of Leland W. and Elsie Mae (Ford) Welsh. He died at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 1997, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit.

He married Susan Brimmer on Oct. 12, 1996.

He was a Vietnam War Army veteran. Manny was a loving husband, father and brother and was an avid NASCAR race fan.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Welsh, of Dubuque; two sons, Craig Welsh and Leland (Winnie) Welsh, both of Junction City, Kan.; a stepson, Jason (Tara) Brimmer, of Muscoda, Wis.; a daughter, Kelly (Clint) Harold, of Junction City; a grandson, Cody Harold; two step-granddaughters, Breeana and Jena Doyle; his parents, Leland and Elsie Welsh, of Elkport, Iowa; three brothers, Larry (Deb) Welsh, of Stout, Iowa, Lenyn Welsh, of Strawberry Point, Iowa; Lesley (Renee) Welsh, Of Aurora, Colo.; four sisters, Charlotte (Welsh) (Jim) Travis, of Wichita, Kan., Colleen (Randy) Hansen, of Waterloo, Iowa, Carla (Robert) Mueller, Of Guttenberg, Iowa, and Lalene (Scott) Hansel, of Elkader, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

A Leland E. "Manny" Welsh Memorial Fund has been established.
