James S. Green, 68, of Fayette, died of cancer Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, in Community Memorial Hospital, Sumner. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Becker-Milnes Funeral Home, Fayette, by the Rev. Galen Smith. Burial: Grandview Cemetery, with military rites. Friends may call from 5 to 7 tonight and one hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; a son, James J. of McLouth, Kan.; four daughters, Lori Gage of La Porte City, Judith Green of Arlington, Jacobi Green of Independence and Jessica Green of Fayette; and two sisters, Belle Demuth of Jesup and Beulah Meredith of Vancouver, Wash.
