BERGER, Inez (Westfall)

BERGER, Inez (Westfall), 100, was born February 24, 1898 in West Branch Iowa and died September 28. 1998. Predeceased in death by her beloved husband, Paul F. Berger Sr., she is survived by her children Paul (Gretchen), Peter (Elaine), Sr. Inez Berger SHCJ, Sr. Maya Berger IHM, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Inez served many years as chairman of the Layette Committee of the Christ Child Society of Pasadena. In addition. she volunteered at Santa Marta Clinic in Los Angeles and Altar Societies of Sts,. Andrew and Phillip churches in Pasadena.

Services are scheduled for Thursday October 1, 11:00 AM. Holy Family Church, South Pasadena. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Christ Child Society, Layette Committee, 3530 California St., Pasadena CA 91107.

Double Wedding (The Carroll Times - Jan 3, 1918)
The H. F. Westfall home was the scene of a quiet double wedding at high noon, Monday, when Miss Edna Westfall became the bride of Dr. Wayne Foster, of Iowa, City, and Miss Inez Westfall became the bride of Douglas C. Cavors, of Chadron, Nebraska. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. Hurt on Sheppard, of the First Methodiat church. The only guests were Mrs. Sheppard and little daughter, Mrs. W. Humphrey and Miss Helen Humphrey.
Dr. and Mrs. Foster are now visiting with his parents at Wellman, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Cavers are making a short stop in Omaha before going to Chadron where Mr. Cavers has a ranch and where they will make thelr home.
Dr. Foster is an intern at the hospital in Iowa City and for the present will continue his work there while his wife will complete her school year at Anita.
Both Edna and Inez Westfall are numbered among the popular girls of this city and have hosts of friends here where they. have lived all their lives. They are accomplished and talented young ladies and will make friends in any community.
