Bernard P. Reilly, 431 Third St. S.W., Huron, died Thursday in St. John's Regional Medical Center at the age of 89.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Martin's Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Flannery officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin's Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside.
A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Welter Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael, Joseph, Paul, Vern, Mark and Dennis Reilly. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester A. Meyer, Richard Marone, Gene Garry, Henry Moeller, James Rudy and Robery Moody.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening.
Reilly was born Oct. 12, 1882, at Evansville, Wis., the son of Patrick and Mary Reilly. He had been a resident of Beadle County since 1912. He married Marie O'Meara April 11, 1923, at Alvord, Iowa. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two sons, James, Sturgis; Matthew, Huron; three daughters, Sister Mary Lonan of College of St. Theresa, Winona, Minn.; Mrs. S.A. (Rose) Norquist, Rapid City; Sister Marcella, Austin, Minn.; 23 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anastatia Walsh, Larchwood, Iowa; Mrs. Catherine Miller, Sunnyvale, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dec. 29, 1967; one son, Earl, Oct. 23, 1961; five brothers and three sisters.
He was a member of St. Martin's Parish and World War I Barracks.
