Ex-Bridgewater man, John Kotz dies at S.F.
Bridgewater
Requiem Mass was celebrated Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's Cathedral in Sioux Falls for John J. Kotz, a former farmer of the Bridgewater Community who died at Sioux Falls on May 1st.
John was born April 27, 1881 at Storm Lake, Iowa and came with his parents and brothers and sisters.to the state where they settled at Wellintgton Center (Humboldt), on Jan 12 1909 he was married at Wayne, Neb., to Mary Wingert of Bridgewater. He was a long time farmer of the Wellington Center, Dolton and Bridgewater Communities before retiring and moving to Sioux Falls in 1940.
Survivors include the widow; one son, Leo of Sioux Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Shulz and Mrs. Helen Richter of Sioux Falls and Mrs. Frances Mullins of El Monte, Calif.; three grandchildren and four brothers and four sisters.
