Pembroke (Special to The Journal) Jan. 19
Mr. James Copeland, an old resident of Pembroke, died this morning at the Copeland House, at the age of 88 years. He had resided here for the last 40 years, and previous to that he lived in Richmond, Carleton county. The deceased was father-in-law to Thomas Murray, M. P., with whom he resided until a short time ago.
Mr. Copeland had enjoyed good health until about a year ago. The funeral takes place to-morrow morning to the R. C. cathedral and thence to the cemetery.
