Kim Richter, 38, of 2208 Crestwood Road, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, from cancer at Avera McKennan Hospital.
Kim Marie Bruns was born Oct. 9, 1960, in Mitchell. She lived in Spencer and graduated from Spencer High School in 1978. She moved to Sioux Falls and worked for Good Samaritan Luther Manor.
She married Roger Richter on Feb. 1, 1980, in Spencer. They lived in Emery and moved to Sioux Falls in 1986. She attended Stenotype Institute, graduating in 1989. She worked for Sioux Vocational Services before beginning her employment with US West Cellular/CommNet Cellular. She became a store manager but had to end her employment due to poor health.
She was a member of St. Lambert Parish.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters: Tiffany and Dana both of Sioux Falls; her parents, Darwin "Bud" and Eileen Bruns of Salem; three brothers: Barry of Spencer, Michael of Minnetonka, Minn., and Steve of Sioux Falls: one sister, Susan Lindekugel of Hutchinson, Minn.; a special aunt, Jeanette Koop of Rochester, Minn., and special friends: Kathy Neuroth of Harrisburg and Tina Arend of Sioux Falls.
Funeral Mass begins at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Lambert Parish, with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, with a scripture service at 7 p.m.
