Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 22 at 10:00 a.m, at st. Andrew's Church in Sibley for William George Keninger, 71, of Ashton. The Rev. Ralph Reinhart officiated at the services with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery at Ashton. The Walton Funeral Home was in clarge of arrangements. He died Oct. 18 at the Osceola Community Hospital.

He was born Feb. 27, 1900 at Edna, Ia., the son of John and Kate Curre Keninger. He married Caroline Hatting on Jan. 11, 1938 at Ashton, where they farmed.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline, three sons, John H. and Donald M. of Ashton, and Vincent P. of Sibley; 2 grandchildren and one sister, Rose Kenlnger of Sioux City.

Preceding him in death were one son, two brothers and his parents.
