DAVENPORT
Services for Margaret M. Thompson, 88, formerly of Davenport and Tipton, Iowa, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Davenport. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.
Mrs. Thompson died Saturday. April 14, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Loretta Altpeter, Arlington Heights, Ill., after a brief illness.
Margaret Mary Kotz was born Sept. 19, 1912, in Presho, S.D. She married Thomas T. Thompson on March 25, 1939, in Muscatine, Iowa. He died Aug. 29, 1974.
Mrs. Thompson was formerly of Tipton, Iowa, and Davenport. She resided in Gainesville, Fla., for the past 20 years before moving to Arlington Heights, Ill., in 1999.
She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton.

Survivors include her daughter, Loretta Altpeter, and her husband, Tom, Arlington Heights, Ill.; a daughter, Elaine Thompson, Chicago; grandchildren, Thomas, Timothy and Michael Altpeter and Laurel O'Sullivan; a great-grandson, Eamon Michael O'Sullivan; and sisters, Frances Reggenitter and Sister Austin Kotz, both of South Dakota.
Her husband, Thomas, five brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
