Fredrick Bechthold
BELGRADE
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. today at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church for Fredrick A. Bechthold, 84, who died Saturday at Belgrade Nursing Home.
The Rev. Silverius Schmitt offciated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Johnson Funeral home of Belgrade.
Mr. Bechthold was born Jan. 17, 1900, in Germany to the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bechthold. He married Cecelia Kotz July 19, 1926. When he came to the United States, he settled in Emporia, Kan., where he farmed. He then moved to Worthington, S.D., and in 1937 to Belgrade where he also farmed.
Survivors include his wife; sons, James, Belgrade; Lyle, Woodbury; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Edward, Isanti; and Mrs. Helen Echorst, New York.
He was preceded in death by a son, Leland.
