James Joseph Bechthold died on Monday December 3, 2007 at his home in rural Belgrade at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife, Ethel; children, Therese (Ken) Graner of Lanesboro, Judy (Tony) Adkins of Cary, NC, Doug Bechthold of Belgrade; 5 grandchildren, Lynn and Michael Graner, Justin Mueller, Brendan and Colin Adkins. Jim is also survived by his brother, Lyle Bechthold of Woodbury; his sister-in-law, Alvina Bechthold of Belgrade; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Cecelia, and brother Leland.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in rural Spicer. Interment will be held at the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade with Parish Prayers at 5:30 PM and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
