Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Little Flower Church for Roy L. Richter, 66, of 330 S. Chicago Ave., who died Wednesday at a local hospital.
Mr. Richter was born June 21, 1905, at Canton. He lived in Arlington and Brookings before moving to Sioux Falls in 1937. He was a mechanic for John Morrell & Co. for 31 years before retiring in 1970. During World War II he served in the Army.
He married Helen Kotz on Feb. 21, 1943, at Ft. Knox, Ky.
Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. James Beumer, Sioux Falls; three grandchildren; a brother, Ray, Arlington, and two sisters, Frances Richter, Arlington, and Mrs. Vern Merriam, Sioux Falls.
Parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Barnett's Funeral Home. A Catholic Daughters of America rosary will follow at 8 p.m.
