Anna, widow of the late Joseph Arndt, died at her home on McHenry street last Friday afternoon at five o'clock of old age, after ailing for some time, aged 83 years, 5 months and 11 days. Deceased was a native of Germany and came to this country with her parents when about twenty-five years old. She was married in 1852 to Mr. Arndt, who died thirteen years ago on the old homestead six miles south of Burlington. Since then Mrs. Arndt had made her home most of the time in this city. She leaves three children surviving her as follows: Mrs. Henry Bloomanhouse, Kenosha; Mrs. Nic Brick, Brighton; and Mrs. Geo. Heiligenthal, Burlington. Also eleven grandchildren living. The funeral was held on Monday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church, Rev. T. Jacobs conducting the services.
