FAIRBANK
Madeline M. Kerns, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 25, at Allen Hospital of congestive heart failure.
She was born May 11, 1925, in Fairbank, daughter of Cecilia Elizabeth Weber and Adam A. Buzynski.
She married John Kerns Aug. 24, 1945, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank. He died March 29, 1984.
Mrs. Kerns worked at Eleanor's Toggery, Oelwein, and was a child care provider.
Survived by: five daughters, Kay (Bob) Frame and Connie (Jack) Rechkemmer of Fairbank, Jane (Mike) Heineman of Readlyn, Julie (Scott) Ceaglske of Cedar Falls and Carolyn (Paul) Lingard of Macon, Mo.; three sons, Gary (Carol) of Pocahontas, Ark., Bob (Kathy) of Jacksonville, Fla., Craig (Laddie) of Fairbank; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Loras Buzynski of Oelwein and John (Eleanor) Buzynski of Fairbank; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Buzynski of Fairbank.
Preceded in death by: a son John, in infancy; a son-in-law, Bruce Bockholt; a grandson-in-law, Mark Eicholz; two great-grandchildren, Kelcy and Drake Frame; and a brother, Harold Buzynski
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank. Public visitation from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank, with burial in the church cemetery.
