Last rites held for Eva Trebon, 73, Tuesday morning
Requiem high mass was sung by Father R. W. Reinhart at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, Oct. 5, at St. Mary's Catholic church for Eva Trebon, 73, lifelong resident of this community, who died at her home Saturday evening, Oct. 2.
Miss Trebon was born at Rock Valley, Febr. 19, 1892, was graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1910, and taught in the rural schools for several years.
She operated a millinery store and was engaged in dressmaking for many years.
She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Mary's Guild and the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, and on Sept. 18, 1964, received the Apostalic Blessing from Pope Paul VI in recognition of Catechetical instruction of the parish children for many years.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. L. L. Richter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Richter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Richter and family all of Rock Valley.
Richard and Robert are nephews.
Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Rock Valley.
Porter Funeral home had charge of arrangement.
