Irvin G. Kruse, 66, of Waterloo and a former Independence resident, died Thursday at 11:45 a.m. at Schoitz Memorial hospital following emergency surgery.
Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran chapel withh the Rev. D. L. Buchhiem, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories.
He was born Nov. 12, 1895, at Gratiot, Wis., the son of William and Anna Gille Kruse.
Mr. Kruse had lived in Waterloo for the last four years, having moved there from Independence. He was married to Alice Trebon June 23, 1920 at Jesup.
For the past 20 years he was an employe of the Illinois Central railroad as a pipefitter, having retired from his postion.
