Emily G. Wissink Quigley, 62, of 201 21st St. NW died Monday at Mercy Hospital following a long illness.
She was born Aug. 29, 1920, at Dunkerton, Iowa, and was married to John Quigley May 27, 1947, at Tipton. They owned and operated Niagara Cafe from 1946 to 1960 and The Neighborhood Sundries and Tavern since 1960. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Elks Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Joan Bex of Riverside; three brothers, Albert Wissink of Des Moines, and Marvin and Lloyd Wissink, both of Dunkerton; and her mother, Elsa Wissink of Cedar Falls.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Teahen Funeral Home by the Rev. Myron Albertson of St. John's Lutheran Church, Dunkerton. Burial: Noon Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Dunkerton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perrine Cancer Care Center at Mercy Hospital, 701 10th St. SE 52403.
