Mardell K. Tribon, 54, of Rt. 1, Denver, died Saturday afternoon, May 31, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.
Mardell K. Hills was born on Sept. 30, 1925 in Fayette, the daughter of Richard and Lida Northrop Hills. She moved with her family to Waverly where she graduated from Waverly High School in 1943.
On August 27, 1944 she was united in marriage to Arthur Tribon in Waterloo. The couple farmed in Black Hawk county until 1966 when they moved to their present home near Denver. Mardell became ill in late October 1979 and has been hospitalized several times since then.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bennington.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; two daughters, Katherine of Waverly, Mary of Albuquerque, N. Mex.; one son, Franklin of Harmony, Minn.; six sisters, Alma Aschbrenner, Betsy Schweer, Nancy Potter, all of Waverly, Marion Spaight of Cedar Rapids, Helen Wittenburg of Readlyn, Bonnie Davis of Waterloo; five brothers, John of Finchford, Russell of Kansas City, Kan., Jack of Key West, Fia., Harold of Cedar Rapids, Jim of Independence; and two grandchildren, Zachary and Laura.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 3, 10 a.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Chapel in Waverly with Rev, O. Paul Hougen officiating. Burial was in Hariington Cemetery, Waverly.
