Age 63. Passed away Friday, December 22, 1995, at 22820 Durand Avenue, #8. He was born in Spring Prairie Township, Wis. on October 16, 1932, to Jacob and Alice (nee: Richter) Robers and was a lifetime Lyons, Wis. and Burlington, Wis. area resident. He attended St. Joseph's Grade School and St. Mary's High School. On July 28, 1956, at St. Mary's in Burlington, Wis., he was united in marriage to Carol A. Hawkins. He was a Farmer and worked for Mueller Pipeliners Inc. in New Berlin, Wis. after 1988. He served in the United States Army from 1956 until 1958. Surviving are his wife, Carol A. Robers; three daughters, Jill (Mark) Wieners, all of Burlington, Wis., Lisa (Scott) Stevens of Twin Lakes, Wis., and Denise Robers; three sons, Douglas J. Robers. both of Burlington. Wis., Daniel R. Robers of Kansasville, Wis., and Thomas J. (Carol) Robers of Burlington, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Erin, Chase, Katelyn, Jared, Lauren, Ben, and Kelsey; four sisters-in-law, Jane Robers, Lynn (Harold) Koenen, Joan (Cloyd) Porter, and Jeanne Hawkins; and one brother-in-law, Charles Straus. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wallace; two sisters, Annette Schiller and Virginia Straus; and one nephew, Patrick Nelson. Funeral services will be held at St. Charles Church on Tuesday, December 26, 1995, at 8 p.m. with Rev. Michael Benham officiating. Friends may call at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 until 7:15 p.m. Memorials suggested to the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia Foundation, or St. Charles School.
