Elaine D. Kerkman, 77, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Brookside Care Center in Kenosha. Elaine was born December 11, 1935, in Burlington, to Gilbert J. and Armella R. (nee Busch) Kerkman. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha County and had lived at Brookside Care Center for the past 28 years. She worked at the Kenosha County Achievement Center and enjoyed participating in the Nursing Home Olympics. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster. Elaine is survived by her siblings, Ella Mae (Butler) Dorn of Burlington, Walter (Kay) Kerkman of Burlington, Shirley (Glenn) Borst of Pell Lake, Norman (Mary) Kerkman of Burlington; Aunts, Rose Kerkman, Rosemary Busch, Ruth Busch and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Walter W. Kerkman and Gerald Kerkman. Memorials may go to St. Alphonsus Church. Per Elaine's request, private services will be held.
