Kenoshan, 94, Dies At Daughter's Home

 

Mrs. Gertrude Blomenhaus, 94, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara Zimmerman, 6425 Twelfth avenue, early Sunday morning after a short illness.

She was born in Burlington January 15, 1854, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kablitz Arndt. She came to Kenosha in 1871 and has lived here since then.

On November 7, 1878, she was married to Henry Blomenhaus. She was a member of St. James church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Zimmerman, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death September 10, 1936.

BLOMENHAUS - Funeral services for the late Gertrude Blomenhaus of 6425 12th Ave., will be held Tuesday, April 27th. at 8:30 a.m. from Mischler's Home for Funerals, and at 9:00 a.m. from St. James church. Interment in St. George cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 o'clock this afternoon.
