Mrs. Nicholas Brick Dies After Serious Illness of Six Weeks
Mrs. Nicholas Brick, 85, died at her home, 508 Randolph street, early Friday morning, April 4th. She had been seriously ill for the past six weeks.
Mary Arndt was born in Burlington, June 16, 1861, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Arndt. Sixty-five years ago she was married to Nicholas Brick at Brighton. The couple moved to Burlington 30 years ago and has made their home here since that time.
Funeral services were held at 9:00 a. m. Tuesday morning from St. Mary Catholic church with Msgr. Edward J. Kersting officiating. Burial was in St. Mary cemetery.
Mrs. Brick is survived by her husband, Nicholas; two sons, Joseph, at home, and Frank in California; one granddaughter, Mrs. Herbert Duehring, Burlington; one great-granddaughter and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Bloomhouse, Kenosha. A daughter preceded her in death.
