Mrs. Anna K. Arndt, 82, 1115 E. Doege St. died at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Marshfield Living Center where she had resided since Nov. 4.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leonard G. Kaiser officiating. Music will be by Mrs. Helen Brinkmann.
Active pallbearers are Jason Pupp, Gary Miller, Fred Weidman, LeRoy Thiemke and Joseph and Harold Mayer. Honorary pallbearers are David Arndt, Larry Pupp, William Welch and Richard Elmhorst.
Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. today at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel and on Saturday until time of services. St. John's Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary service will be at 4 p.m. today followed by a St. John's Prayer service at 7:30, both at the funeral chapel.
She was born Dec. 25, 1905, in St. Mary's Ridge, to John and Cecelia (Evalt) Hemmersbach. She attend St. Mary's Ridge and Neillsville area schools. She married William G. Arndt Aug. 10, 1926, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville.
She and her husband farmed in the Granton and Neillsville areas until 1953, when they moved to Marshfield. While in Marshfield, she worked at St. Joseph's Hospital. Since March 1988, she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Smazal, until entering the Living Center.
She was a member St. John's Catholic Parish Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harvey (Donna) Smazal of Marshfield; two sisters, Mrs. Regina Welch of Abbotsford, Mrs. Mary Mayer of Stratford; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeased by her husband, a son, Norman, in 1984, and another son in infancy a granddaughter, her parents, three brothers and a sister.
