C. Bernadette "Zim" Kligora, age 78, of Dodgeville, died on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center, due to complications following surgery. The former Bernadette Zimmerman was born on April 6, 1924, in Kenosha to August and Clara (Blomenhaus) Zimmerman. She was a 1945 graduate of Mount Mary College. She taught high school English and Latin at Boscobel where she met Leo Kligora. They were married on Aug. 19, 1947. Leo and Zim have been Dodgeville residents since 1950 where she was member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Zim's favorite pastimes included knitting and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne, on March 21, 1965; her parents; and two brothers, Henry and Norbert Zimmerman. Zim is survived by her husband, Leo of Dodgeville; a son, Tom (Lynn) Kligora of Big Spring, Texas; two daughters, Ruth (Vern) Richardson of Olivia, Minn., and Alice Kligora and her husband,John Springer, of Georgetown, Texas; six grandchildren, Kerry, Ed and Bryan Kligora, Heather and Bridget Richardson, and Haley Springer; five great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Dodgeville. Father Henry Kalscheuer will celebrate, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Joseph's School Endowment Fund would be greatly appreciated. The Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville, is serving the family.
