BRICK, NICHOLAS
Death came to Burlington's oldest resident, Nicholas (Nick) Brick, Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Memorial Hospital after a long period of failing health.
Mr. Brick was in his 93rd year, having been born on a farm in Brighton, April 16, 1855, to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brick, pioneer residents of that community.
It was on this farm that "Nick" Brick settled with his young bride, Mary Arndt, of Wheatland and it remained their home until thirty-two years ago, at which time they moved to Burlington, which has been his residence ever since. His wife, Mary, preceded him in death many years ago.
The remains were at the McCarthy Funeral Home until funeral services, which were held at St. Mary's Catholic church, this city, at 9 o'clock Saturday morning, Nov. 27. Interment was at St. Mary's cemetery.
Surviving the deceased are two sons, Joseph, Burlington, and Frank of San Pedro, Cal., and one grandchild, Mrs. Herbert Duehring, and a great-grandchild, of Burlington.
